In the end, it's not going to matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away....

Things to ponder..
This customer started his savings of RM100 monthly premium since late 2008 into this Savings & Protection plan, better known as insurance (scary word) to most of us.
Savings & Protection plan will promise you secure medical needs and if nothing unfortunate events happen to you (that’s what we hope & plan), cash value of your savings will be returned to the policy holder by end of policy year.
The customer has been diagnosed with nose cancer in midst 2011, was admitted for chemotherapy treatment at government hospital, and until to date still undergoing treatment.
Under the policy plan, customer is protected for Critical Illnesses (CI), as one of the many benefits.
As per attachment, a cheque of RM77,889.41 was paid to the customer for the claim made.
Imagine how this comes in handy for this particular customer and his family. Now he can seeks for better treatment at private hospital and better recovery chances (rather than waiting for your turn at cramped govt hospital).
And mind you, customer has only put up savings of less than RM2’500 (RM100 monthly x 2 years plus) since the initial. If u put RM100 in your bank every month, how long do you need to mount up the RM77,889.41?? The customer were very thankful for the decision he had made to take up the policy and according to him even if he sell up his property or borrowed money he can never able to raise that kind of money.
Save now for the rainy days, it is always there when we & our family needed that the most.

Why it is not a good decision to terminate our protection plans during the economic downturn?
When the economy is poor, the unemployment rate increases. Many people are jobless. It’s difficult to find jobs. They have no income yet at home there are mouths to feed.
When peoples can’t find a job for themselves, eventually this will force some of the uncivilized peoples to commit crimes like robbery, snatch and others. As a result, crime rate will goes up. This indicates that our safety will be in danger. We may become the next victims of robbery or snatch theft.
Of course, having an insurance plan does not reduce the crime rate in Malaysia. But, at least it helps us to cover our medical bills when we are injured due to an accident, robbery and snatch.
In other word, it is not wise to terminate/lapse our insurance/protection plans during the economy downturn. What we can do is try to reduce our annual premium by reducing the coverage.
Did insurance really really expensive??
Well...Some clients think that protection plans such as medical card, life insurance and PA are very costly. How true is it?
Each one of us desires to live comfortably. We want to look after our family financially, if we are no longer around. We want our children to get the best education possible in the world. We also want a contented life after retirement. Needless to say, we have unlimited wants. In order to accomplish these wants and needs, of coz there is a price we have to pay as there is no such thing as a free lunch nowadays. The price is reflected in the premiums of insurance plans.
I personally think that insurance or I prefer to call it protection plan is very expensive only when we don't need it. Trust me. I remembered reading an article wrote by a blogger which goes like this “If an insurance agent asks a seriously ill patient in a hospital to buy a Medical Card, Life Insurance and Personal Accident plan, for sure the patient will buy them without hesitation even he has to pay a monthly premium of RM 10,000" After digested this phrase,i would say that the patient might not only willing to pay RM10k but even more just for the sake of getting back his healthiness. Take my word for it!

Why Medical Card is "A-Must" to women?
According to a doctor from Pusat Rawatan Islam Sdn. Bhd., nearly 98 % of all women have fibroid either it is small or large. It is said that the cost of operation in one of the hospital in Seremban was around RM 12,000 in the year 2007. So, can u imagine the cost today? For sure, it is much higher than the cost in the year of 2007.
A female patient who has medical card doesn't need to be worried about the cost as this risk will be borne by insurance companies.

Kanser - Pembunuh No. 2 di Malaysia
